WHAT theory of biophysics you believe is strongly correlated with what theory of physics and electrodynamics you embrace.  For example in the Many Worlds Interpretation, there is no need to resort to nonlocality or strings and membranes to describe the fabric of reality.

Coherent arguments can be made for each of the competing theories of quantum physics, including Copenhagen, Transactional, Many Worlds Interpretation (MWI), Holographic, etc.  Because of their fundamentally incompatible modelling, you have to give up one of the three:

locality/nonlocality (i.e., a ccept faster than light travel and therefore time travel);

single-valued outcome (MWI), or

unidirectional causality i(.e. permit causation to be time-symmetric).

Quantum Biophysics and Healing

Our contemporary task is to move beyond the apparent mind/body dichotomy of western mechanistic thought and understand our reality as part of the holistic embedded field. We are nested in reality. We don't end at our skin boundary. This cannot remain a mere concept but must become part of our essence, a belief lived from our very core. Living from a holistic perspective is an experiential process, a Way of life.

"Consciousness" encompasses the potentially integrated healing aspects of brain, mind, emotions, and spirit, together with physiological and environmental influences that produce unique patterns. The body IS the unconscious, which forms a living matrix. Healing is a physical or biological form of creativity. Nonlocal healing is a synchronistic event, which takes place in the presence of intentionality to share a common field of influence.

The "consciousness of healing" may be a pattern, or patterns, that can be identified in the anomalous energies associated with sensitive persons. Anomalous energies are one highly meaningful constellation of factors. Recurrent, complex, interrelated patterns, processes and temporal variations, influenced by the environment, are inherent in states of consciousness for better or worse.

Selected aspects of consciousness provide more reliable experimental replication and active integration of holistic investigations into the sources and processes of healing, other associated non-local phenomena, environmental effects and biophysical interactions of body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Biophysical Mechanisms of Genetic Regulation: Is There a Link to Mind-Body Healing?
Lian Sidorov and Kevin Chen

Abstract: Over the past several decades, pioneering biophysics work has shown that living tissues interact with electric and magnetic fields in unexpected and dramatic ways: from initial anecdotal accounts of enhanced healing under electromagnetic stimulation, research in this field has progressed to a sophisticated arsenal of investigative tools and theoretical models which include polarized light microscopy to study the liquid crystal properties of living cells and laser-excitation of DNA to induce hybridization through non-molecular information transfer. In almost all cases, the results point to a set of remarkable properties of living tissues, and in particular of genetic material: the emerging picture is that of biosystems as sources and domains of coherent electromagnetic fields, which account for practically instantaneous inter-cellular communication and a highly efficient mechanism of energy utilization, and which seem to reflect very closely the developmental and patho-physiological state of the organism. In addition, a wide spectrum of genetic mechanisms now appear to be under the influence of surrounding electromagnetic fields.

At the same time, an impressive number of studies in the areas of parapsychology and mind-body medicine converge to show that conscious intent can affect practically every single type of genetic program, as well as many physiological parameters [1]. These studies also show that such effects can be produced from great distances, and that occasionally they are accompanied by unusual energy signatures.

Is there a correlation between the effects of electromagnetic fields and those of mental intent on genetic regulation and living tissues? This paper will discuss the major experimental evidence and proposed mechanisms of these interactions, as well as the principal obstacles lying in the way of a viable, comprehensive theory. At the same time, we will attempt to formulate several preliminary hypotheses based on this evidence and to sketch some possible directions for future research in this field.

Crisis in Life Sciences. The Wave Genetics Response
P.P. Gariaev, M.J. Friedman, and E.A. Leonova- Gariaeva

Abstract: To create an organism, two genetic programs are required. The first one is geometric, i.e. a scheme, how to design the body. The second program is in the form of a meaningful text which contains instructions and explanations how to use the first program, how to understand and build the organism. These programs exist in the form of “DNA video tapes”, which are used by the genetic apparatus, acting like a bio-computer. When the bio-computer reads these video tapes, sound and light images appear that constitute the movie program of the development of the organism. When the creation of a grown-up organism is completed, the movie ends. Then the second movie starts, which contains the instructions for maintenance of the organism for indefinitely long time. Unfortunately, the videotapes containing information about a perfectly healthy organism, get corrupted with time, errors accumulate (DNA mutations). The instructions accumulate errors and the organism gets sick, grows old and dies. It is very likely that these DNA video tapes can be renewed and corrected. With this new understanding of how our genetic apparatus works, completely new technologies for healing a person and extending a person’s life become feasible. And this is the essence of Wave genetics and its practical applications to come.

The Bioelectronic Basis for "Healing Energies: Charge and Field Effects as a Basis for Complementary Medical Techniques.
Leane E. Roffey

Abstract: As of the time of this review over 150 studies of "healing energies" have been reported in which the energy parameters were specified and controlled. More than half demonstrate statistical significance, p < 0.05. Some researchers have measured electromagnetic (EM) signals emanating from the hands of healers which are within the same frequency range as human brain waves. There are some indications that a correlation exists between atmospheric oscillations, brain waves, and biological EM emissions. Understanding the nature of this correlation may enable us to characterize and further utilize various types of "healing energies". The paradigm for the application of these energies may develop into a basis for a variety of existing complementary medical practices. Integral portions of biological systems have been shown to be semiconducting, ferromagnetic and piezoelectric. The biosemiconductor, together with the drift of charges, ions, and radicals, may be considered as a form of "bioplasma". Bioplasma may be subject to magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) control. The EM fields emitted by trained healers may be considered as coherent, resonant biomagnetic emissions by which a less coherent EM field of the patient is "tuned" to the specific frequency and phase, and through which homeostasis can be "aligned" to induce "healing".

Outline of Biological Magnetohydrodynamics
WÅ‚odzimierz Sedlak, Ph.D.
translated by Leane Roffey Line, Ph.D. and Jaroslaw Kempczynski, Ph.D.

Abstract: In this article, Sedlak discusses how a living organism is not only an information detector and generator, but is also a transformer of electromagnetic energy. Biological systems generate their own magnetic mediums through a process he calls "dia-par", or diamagnetic to paramagnetic transition. Sedlak proposes that the science of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) can be used to model living bioplasma. He predicts that this model can account for such phenomena as spin- waves, anabolic to catabolic transitions, and redox processes. Such low-frequency biological rhythmic activity can probably be accounted for by MHD mathematics, the proof of which he leaves to future generations.

Metasubjective Cognition Beyond the Brain: Subjective Awareness and the Location of Concepts of Consciousness
Titus Rivas

Abstract: Consciousness has irreducible qualitative and subjective aspects that cannot be represented in a physical, purely quantitative system. This implies that an exhaustive conceptual ‘metasubjective’ representation (i.e. a representation of the defining properties of conscious experiences) in the brain as an exclusively physical system is impossible. Similarly, individual memories of conscious experiences must contain information about qualitative and subjective aspects as well, since concepts of consciousness ultimately derive from such information abstracted from episodic memories. Therefore, the stored bases from which such individual memories of conscious experiences are reconstructed must also contain elements that cannot be represented in the brain.

Both metasubjective concepts and bases of our individual memories of subjective experiences can only be stored in a personal non-physical memory linked to consciousness. There must be a personal mind or psyche that embraces consciousness, metasubjective concepts and bases of episodical memories of one’s subjective experiences.

Homo Lumen: A Temple of Living Light

By Iona Miller, 12-2005

“We are waves whose stillness is non-being;
We are alive because of this, that we have no rest.” Abu-Talib Kalim

Absolute Space, the womb of Nature.
Virtual Photon Fluctuation, boundary layer where nothing becomes something.
Photons, the basic unit of energy and cosmos.
Biophotons, radiant basis of life.
Bioplasma, state of matter/energy, bioluminescent EM medium.
Photonic Body, biohologram of coherent Light and Sound.
Illuminative Sacred Light from Pineal DMT.

All human cultures have a model of the universe. Primal societies embody their models in mythology and modern societies define their models with science. Such models serve important psychological and social functions.

Meditation masters speak of an inner Light that pervades the physical and energy bodies, and now science investigates it as biophotons, and through quantum physics we can watch that matter/energy/information devolve back into the unstructured void from which potential emanates.

Mystics have often equated this pervasive Light/Sound with primordial Consciousness and the source of life as well as matter. Quantum bioholography shows the DNA literally produces coherent light, which transduces to sound that directs the formative processes of life. Radiant energy is radiant energy. Whether we look outside into our environment or inside into ourselves we find primordial Light.

Absolute Space, the womb of Nature. The fundamental primordial groundstate; the physical vacuum, not just absence of matter; absolute nature. Plenum/Void. Metaphysical Being.

ZPE Virtual Photon Fluctuation is the boundary layer where nothing becomes something. Vacuum fluctuation, virtual photon fluctuation, scalar field, subspace, ZPE. Source of photons blinking into and out of existence from Absolute Space. Zero-point energy is made up of photons created by all those electrons in distant stars. Virtual photons in space are created by the motions of other electrons, mainly by “distant matter.” Each zigzag of a local electron is actually a nonlocal communication between it and distant matter. Each quantum photon consists of many photon pulses, which are collectively the ZPE of the vacuum of space. Emanation.

Photons are the basic unit of energy and cosmos. A photon is a single particle of light. The radiant ground is the fundamental source beyond the boundary layer of quantum foam. Photons are the self-luminous manifestation of Absolute Space. Plants, animals and humans generate up to 100 photons per second, per .15 square inches (1 sq. centimeter) of surface area. Electromagnetic waves are carried by particles called quanta. By using particle theory electromagnetic radiation can be examined as if it were composed of small particles of energy called quanta. Finite bundles, quanta of light are called photons. Though they can demonstrate particulate properties they are believed to be massless. However, though photons do not have mass, they do have momentum. The discrete 'particle' properties of Matter and Light (quanta) are in fact caused by Standing Wave interactions. Radiation.

Biophotons. Light is stored in the cells of organisms, in DNA molecules of their nuclei. A dynamic web of light constantly released and absorbed by the DNA connects cell organelles, cells, tissues, and organs within the body and serves as the organism's main communication network and as the principal regulator for all life processes. DNA and the genome have now been identified as active "laser-like" environments. Biophotons are weak emissions of light radiated from the cells of all living things. The light is too faint to be seen by the naked eye, but biophotons have been detected and verified using photomultiplier tubes. Light is constantly being absorbed and remitted by DNA molecules within each cell's nucleus, creating a dynamic, coherent web of light. This system could be responsible for chemical reactions within the cells, cellular communication throughout the organism, and the overall regulation of the biological system, including embryonic development into a predetermined form. The laser-like coherence of the biophoton field is a prime candidate for exchanging information in a highly functional, efficient and cooperative fashion. Bioradiation.

Bioplasma. Plasma is the fourth state of matter (liquid, gaseous, solid). Living organisms, including humans, are plasmas which produce waves. Life is electric, however, its control takes place magnetically, electromagnetically. The manifestations of life may be ultimately summarized in terms of plasma and radiation. The secret of life lies in process control through small energy and with minimal noise. Plasmas are conductive and only respond to electric and magnetic fields and can be efficient sources of radiation. Magnetohydrodynamics is based on magnetic transmission over a plasma carrier. Sedlak proposes that magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) can be used to model living bioplasma. This MHD controlled state correlates with metabolic process, such as anabolism-catabolism and oxidation, physiological currents and weakly luminescent effects (biophotons; bioluminescence). A complex signaling system is formed involving electric, magnetic, optical and acoustic effects. This signaling system must operate on the level of single macromolecules like DNA andon groups of molecules, such as cells, tissues, organs and the organism, and above all on the level of the metabolism as an ensemble of chemical processes. Bioluminescence.

Photonic Body is a biohologram projected by coherent light and sound. We arise from and are sustained by field phenomena, waves of biophotonic light and sound, which form our essential nature through acoustic holography This coherent light transduces itself into radio waves (holographic biophoton field), which carry sound as information that decodes the 4-D form as a material object. We also suspect chromosomes transform their genetic-sign laser radiations into broadband genetic-sign radio waves. The polarizations of chromosome laser photons are connected nonlocally and coherently to polarizations of radio waves. Thus, we have an explicit physical analogue for the traditional mystical apprehension of inner Light and the Audible Life Stream. Bioholography.

Self-illumined Light is both an inner (biophysical) and outer (quantum and cosmological) essential phenomena. Energy/matter emerges as light from the boundary layer where nothing becomes something. Quantum nonlocality is directly related to laser radiation from chromosomes (coherent light), which jitterbugs its polarization plane to radiate or occlude photons. DNA and the genome have now been identified as active "laser-like" environments. Roughly speaking, DNA can be considered as a liquid crystal gel-like state that acts on the incoming light in the manner of a solitonic lattice. A soliton is an ultra stable wave train that arises in the context of non-linear wave oscillation. Despite their rarity on Earth, over 99% of the universe is in the plasma state. Earth, with its high density and low temperature (astrophysically speaking) is an anomaly! Stars, including our Sun, are big balls of hot, dense plasma. Interstellar space is filled with a dilute cold plasma. Supernova are the plasma remnants of exploded stars. Closer to home, lightning, flames and the aurora are examples of naturally occurring plasmas.

Sacred Light is generated internally by DMT, the spirit molecule. Meditation evokes pineal DMT release through EM vibrations. Visionary experience with symbolic or religious content gives way to dazzling light of illumination, reported in eastern and western religions. Meditation modulates pineal activity, eliciting a standing wave through resonance effects that coordinates other brain centers with both chemicals and electromagnetism. Resonance is induced in the pineal gland using electric, magnetic, or sound energy, resynchronizing both hemispheres of the brain, resulting in a chain of synergetic harmony that releases DMT, an endogenous psychedelic. The pineal contains high levels of enzymes and building-blocks for DMT, which may be secreted when inhibitory processes cease blocking its production with other chemicals, such as beta-carbolines which magnify and prolong DMT effects. DMT is the source of visionary Light in transpersonal experiences. Its primary source, the pineal, has traditionally been referred to as the Third Eye. Curiously, this gland is light sensitive and actually has a lens, cornea, and retina. DMT production is particularly stimulated in the extraordinary conditions of birth, sexual ecstasy, childbirth, extreme physical stress, near-death, psychosis, and physical death, as well as meditation. Pineal DMT may also play a significant role in dream consciousness.

Meditative techniques using sound, sight, or awareness may generate particular wave patterns whose fields induce resonance in the brain. Millennia of human trial and error have determined that certain ‘sacred’ worlds, visual images, and mental exercises exert uniquely desired effects, causing multiple systems to vibrate and pulse at certain frequencies. When our minds and bodies resonate with these spiritual exercises the pineal begins to ‘vibrate’ at frequencies that weaken its multiple barriers to DMT formation and release.

The mindbody is electronic, but it is rooted in the luminosity of its invisible ground. Living systems are very sensitive to tiny energy fields and resonance phenomena, both locally and at a distance. They allow the cells of the body to work together instantaneously and symphonically. All biological processes are a function of electromagnetic field interactions. EM fields are the connecting link between the world of form and resonant patterns. EM fields embody or store gestalts, patterns of information. Biochemical action and bioelectronic action meet at the quantum-junction.

We can return to Nature and our nature, collectively preparing a paradigm shift for a new shared reality and trajectory of physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual coherence. The silent frictionless flow of living intelligence is beyond words and conceptual constructs. We are a process of recursive self-generation. This continuum, which is our groundstate or creative Source, is directly discoverable in the immediacy of the emergent embodied moment, in the living Light that generates our Being.

"every soil has its secret, of which we carry an unconscious image in our souls: a relationship of spirit to body and of body to earth."(Jung; CW XVIII)

What is this invisible ground whose image we carry in our souls where spiritual ideals merge with worldly realities? Isn’t it always right here, right now everywhere always forever? The contextual background, the invisible environment, is the fundamental ground from which both mind and matter emerge, the luminous absolute space of reality beyond the mere absence of energy/matter.

The radiant ground is the fundamental source beyond the boundary layer of quantum foam. Our healing task is to somehow realize this radiant image of the body in earth, to ground this body in its essential nature, which is the source of creativity and healing. It is precisely in the world, in life itself, that we experience compassion, wisdom, enlightenment. It is only our persistent rigid delusions to the contrary that prevents us from realizing it every moment.

Does an intention to heal indicate metaphysical free will? And if not, what can it mean to call ourselves “healers” or agents of healing, with or without new agey “evolutionary” spin? Some self-styled healers subscribe to the notion that the more of us join together in our intentionality in a “critical mass”, the more some evolutionary imperative for mass or planetary healing will be amplified or speeded up.

But maybe that is just a vain attempt to wrest order from the warp-speed of chaotic modern life. We are experts at deluding ourselves. Will and intentionality are ideals, even heroic ideals of a striving ego. Will implies a very directive controlling “masculine” approach, and perhaps the nuance of intentionality is nonobjectively “feminine”, perhaps more in harmony with the flow of nature.

In its depth, fleeting existence is 'being,' a dynamic process of complete integration. The intuitive, spontanous person is holistic, aware of interrelationships and the rich web of contexts, aware of and sustained by the invisible ground of Being. Is this absolute nature  the primordially pure and radiant groundstate of consciousness -- the source of healing, of creativity, of illumination? Even our self-image originates here along with our photonic body.

The inclusion of quantum physics and field theories in holistic new age philosophies and energy medicine is an urge to lift the veil of Isis and commune directly with deep nature, the wellspring of our being. What Is-Is. We are shifting our identification from the meat body to that metaphysical essence beyond the evocative electromagnetic veil.

This ancient quest, shared with mystics and meditators for aeons, has extreme emotional appeal. Many of its phenomena are hypnotic in character. We can drive the central nervous system with any continuous repetitive stimulus, such as a silent mantra or chanting. Curiously, through concepts that broaden our mental boundaries and practices that open us spiritually, we transcend the prison of the body, simultanously realizing it is not separate from Cosmos.

Deep nature is our essential nature. We come to see “that which is Above is like that which is Below”. Paradoxically, it allows us to inhabit our bodies yet more fully, realizing it is a Temple of Living Light, with a naturally radiant and primordially pure awareness.

Activating emotions alone brings a correlated change in body chemistry (Pert) which can likewise lead to changes in attitude that enhance well being. This process is accompanied by the stream of imagery, often called stream of consciousness. Jung said the gods have become diseases, and we connect with them through our somatized pathologizing, our personalized agonies over our bodies and souls. Our bodies don’t just succumb to toxic agents, intruders and aging; they literally embody our existential conflicts and memories.

No matter what we think or do physical, emotional and spiritual healing goes on as it always has throughout human history. Whether we try self-help (self-regulation; meditation), seek outside help, or get lucky in the synchronistic flow of events often we find just what we need to make the difference. It is the boon or treasure we find in the journey. Psychophysical healing is a variation on the theme of death/rebirth: the old maladaptive self must die so the new creative self can emerge.

Spontaneous healing happens in the dark, in a lacuna of our consciousness, drawing from processes still unclear in our understanding. So what is the uncaused cause if there is no such thing as conscious willing and we lack direct awareness of the causality of conscious will.? Why do we cling to this belief? How does our expectancy enter into it? And if “shift happens” does it really matter how? Yes, because it is that “mattering” of which we speak.

Can we query our belief-generating systems for information? And how could that influence the self-monitoring architecture of another? Who does what to whom in the healing dyad or group? What is the role of psychic contagion? Can we find our answers in the proffered solutions of the new age or parapsychology which seek their legitimacy in the arguments of new physics, traditional or alternative medical fantasies, AI, IT, or any other disciplines serving up plausible solutions?

Many self-styled healers don’t consider the act their “own”. Likewise, those using a Ouija board find the planchette under their fingers seems to move on its own, even though the messages it spells out can only come, ultimately, from the participants. Dowsers looking for water report that the dowsing rod moves autonomously in their hands, relaying unseen forces. Doesn’t that imply anyone can “do it”? Even if we settle on what to do, we still don’t know how to do it, though legions of self-styled experts charge a high price for their opinions and methodology.

It can’t require a self-interpretation or be a confabulation of belief systems or pseudo-science. However, we cling to a belief in a nonphysical agent, invoking either spiritual agency, self-organization, or a pre-physical “ether”. Have we just substituted appeals to the undifferentiated root of energy/matter for God? Just because subspace is immaterial and essentially metaphysical does that make it “divine”, or is it just the most rarefied strata of the foam of manifestation?

WHAT enables access to truth? Thomas Kuhn, in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1962), concludes no language is neutral, thus no science can truly be Objective and, by extension, no beliefs, secular or otherwise can truly be objective. Science has relativized our view of human agency, through language and media, revisioing our experience of how we communicate. But our conscious intentions DO affect our actions and where we focus our “flashlight” of our awareness.

Conscious will as part of self narrative is an illusion, a way of distinguishing agency between the fabrication of a sense of self and the world “out there”, an illusory distinction created during self-interpretion. Any role of intentionality as a conscious factor is likely to be a confabulation describing the relationship of self/Self. Deciding or intending is a conscious thought, not an immediate experience. Beyond the scope of conceptual thinking all distinctions become irrelevant.

Healing is not just a voluntary process we can will, since it depends to some extent on the permeation of collective conscious and unconcious. Even self-healing occurs in some psychophysical “twilight zone”. This suggests that rather than any intentionality, essential character may be more important in the healing process, perhaps through a sort of psychic contagion, like Jung’s concept of mana personality, etc.

The notion of will, at least in regard to healing, may serve as a “guiding fiction”. Maybe it is an artifact of “magical thinking”, the basis of shamanic healing for millennia. Shamans appealed to ‘spirits’ beyond, to Mystery to elicit a favorable change through appeal or placation. Who can say they weren’t effective by perturbing the foundational layer of psychopysical reality? Otherwise, why did they beliefs grow into the cultural flowers of religion?

We are authoritative about our own conscious thoughts because we author them, we believe. But entertaining a thought is not the same as executing it. Nevertheless, even that imaginal practice may create psychophysical changes in our own organism, and sometimes seems to effect others, as well once we entertain thoughts about the occurance of that state itself.

A big part of our conscious position is rooted in our belief system or worldview, about the structure of mind and reality. These are fused, yet appear in observation to be a series of nested or embedded hierarchies of operation. They look different, or their agents and descriptors do, to the observer from the organismic, chemical, molecular, atomic, and subatomic domains.

Is a person's stream of consciousness causally influenced by that person's physical actions? What is the medium of that so-called healing action? We know from media studies that media is an interruption of our internal narrative, a detour in content and focal point. Interruption enables the message by lending it shape; its particularity is its truth. there is no message aside from some medium.

If nothing else, intentionality begins a healing ritual where it is virtually inconsequential if both parties are consciously aware of that context or not. But this ritual seems to deepen beyond sociological context. Another environment obviously springs up, or exist a priori, such as the mystery of unified field. Not only a MESSAGE but MESSAGES emanate/proliferate aside from some medium.

Is it willing, even if we aren’t consciously aware of agency? Is there a common cause in both our willed actions and their ‘effects’, a common cause in some unconscius set of psychophysical events? Does conscious mental rehearsal amplify the effect of activated intention? But aren’t our conscious willings and actions always the result of common underlying cause?

But what if the urge “to heal” doesn’t come from conscious reasoning and decision-making to begin with? What if it spring spontaneously from our essential nature? Then, isn’t everyone a potential healer, as well as healee? Decoding our own will is an act of mind-reading turned on ourselves that at best creates an interpretation and at worst a distortion of living process.

But this is strongly counterintuitive to our perceptions of healing intuition. Intuition is non-interpretive, non-inferential. It just IS, requiring the mind to surrender to that phenomenal immediacy.

Consciousness is immediacy and is not limited to or by recognizable application of some mental concept or inner sense. Our access to our own mental states isn’t immediate, as shown by the fact that motor movement initiates before associated conscious prefrontal intent to move.

Is both “the road to hell” and the road to healing paved with good intentions? How can we interpret our healing acts of will, both when they appear to “work” and “not work”? Is it adequate to attribute the effect to a “higher agency”? How can we know we haven’t initiated or amplified healing process at the foundational level? On the other hand, how could we ever think that we could? Is our own belief in ourselves or the process essential to deploying the healing dynamic?
